The 2025 Australian Open will start on Sunday, January 12 and will be the first Grand Slam this year.

The biggest tennis stars will descend on Melbourne Park to try to win the coveted title.

Defending women’s champion Aryna Sabalenka will be hoping to retain last year’s title and has a chance to make history by becoming only the seventh player and the first this century since Martina Hingis (1997-99) to record three straight victories in Melbourne.

On the men’s side, history could also be made as Novak Djokovic looks to win a record eleventh Melbourne title and a historic 25th Grand Slam title.

Other aces hoping to make an impact downfield include last year’s men’s winner Jannik Sinner and women’s world No. 2 Iga Świątek.

Britons hoping to go far in their first Grand Slam tournament this year include 2024 US Open semi-finalist Jack Draper, Katie Boulter and Emma Raducanu, who made their debuts alongside Sonay Kartal and Jacob Fearnley.
