Police say a 60-year-old man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run Friday night

A 60-year-old man is in critical condition after he was hit by a fleeing vehicle Friday evening, according to the Milwaukee Police Department.

The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. in the area of 13th and Atkinson streets on Friday, January 10.

Police say a 60-year-old man was crossing the street when he was struck by a westbound vehicle, which fled the scene.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
