Appeal after a 16-year-old was injured in a ‘targeted’ attack near Bath

Police are investigating after a 16-year-old boy was injured in a group attack in a village near Bath and was later found on the streets of south Bristol.

The victim was attacked near the post office in Corston on Friday at around 22:30 GMT, but police were not notified until 23:00 GMT.

The boy, from Bath, was finally found at 00:30 GMT on Saturday in Broomhill Road, Brislington, when he was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators are still working to establish the chain of events that led to the boy’s stay in Bristol, an Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said.
