New York Rangers Center injured and scoring in the same game

Vincent Trocheck scored one of the boldest goals of the season for New York Rangers in a recent match against Liverpool Vegas Golden Knights. The team’s star center scored his fourteenth goal of the season on the power play, which appeared to be the most painful goal he had scored in his career.

Outnumbered by the Rangers, Trocheck was positioned in front of the Golden Knights goalkeeper. Mika Zibanejad fired a one-time shot into the net, hitting Trocheck in the middle. The puck landed on his skates, and Trocheck instinctively put it back past the Vegas goalie to tie the game at 1-1. Immediately after scoring the goal, he cringed in pain and slowly slid off the ice through the tunnel to the locker room.

Apparently an 85 mph shot wasn’t enough to counterbalance the hockey player’s mentality. Despite receiving the puck up the middle, Trocheck returned to the game in the third quarter. He finished the game in regular shifts in the final frame and got 20 minutes of ice time.

The Guards They’re counting on their veteran center help change this season. The 31-year-old is a bit behind his usual offensive pace in New York, but he’s still doing his thing. In 42 games, he has 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points, putting him on pace for his third consecutive 60-plus point campaign in a Rangers uniform.

The team’s victory over the Golden Knights brought their record to 19-20-2. Even though they have the second fewest points in the Eastern Conference, they are still in the playoffs. They are only six points behind the second wild card position, and with a few wins they can completely turn the tide of the season.
