A man shot and killed over the weekend in Emmet County has been identified

EMMET COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) – – The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who died Saturday in a shooting at a Springvale Township home.

Investigators said the man shot was Joshua Arthol Van Allen, 34.

According to the sheriff’s office, Van Allen went to a friend’s house before the shooting.

According to the sheriff’s office, a fight broke out and Van Allen was shot.

The sheriff said the investigation is ongoing and the case will be referred to the prosecutor.
