Police have identified the man who died in a shooting at a northern Michigan home

EMMETT COUNTY, MI – Police have identified the man who did it shot Saturday at a home in Springvale Township as 34-year-old Joshua Van Allen according to UpNorthLive. While the investigation is ongoing, the Emmett County Sheriff’s Office says it appears Van Allen entered a friend’s home when a fight broke out.

At some point during the argument, Van Allen was shot and killed. Police have not publicly identified anyone else involved in the incident, and the case is being forwarded to the district attorney for possible charges.
