Eagles investigating virus incident in stands at Packers game: source

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Eagles are investigating after a video surfaced on social media showing a fan’s vulgar tirade directed at a Green Back Packers fan on Sunday.

Footage of the incident shows an anonymous fan standing in a row behind two Packers fans, calling the woman unmistakable profanities and clapping her ear.

A source tells FOX 29’s Jenn Frederick the Eagles have identified the fans involved and are working to take action.

History:

On Sunday afternoon, the Eagles hosted the Packers and defeated them in the NFC Wild Card matchup. Shortly after the game, a video began circulating on social media showing an Eagles fan taunting two Packers fans, including the person recording it.

The video shows one of the fans celebrating a play on the field, after which the Eagles fan leans over and begins talking to her and calling her names, claiming that she misunderstood what happened on the field during that particular play.

When the man recording the video tells the Eagles fan to leave the woman alone, he repeats disgusting insults and continually berates the away fans.

What we know:

A source within the Eagles organization tells FOX 29’s Jenn Frederick they have identified both parties involved in the incident.

According to a source, the Eagles are in contact with the Packers fan and are working to send her Packers merchandise as an apology.

The team has also identified an Eagles fan and is working to potentially ban him from the stadium, the source added.

According to TMZ, the team is still assessing the situation.

Since the video appeared on social media on Sunday, there has been an outpouring of reactions from fans condemning the actions of Eagles fans.

Many people called for the man to be banned from future matches, while others asked for help in identifying the man to speed up the process.
