A law student jumped to his death from the 7th floor of a Noida building after his ex-girlfriend refused to patch up his wounds

An LLB (Bachelor of Laws) student of Amity University died after falling from the seventh floor of Supreme Towers in Sector 39 in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, police said on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Tapas. He was a resident of Ghaziabad and a student Amity University according to the new agency PTI.

Noida ACP Praveen Kumar Singh said that Tapas’ friends were also with him in the apartment in Sector 39 when the incident took place on Saturday. Singh said the victim’s family has been informed. He added that the police carried out an inspection at the scene and the investigation was ongoing.

Tapas ex-girlfriend arrested for abuse for a suicide case, but was later released on bail. Police sources told NDTV that according to investigation, 23-year-old Tapas died by suicide after his ex-girlfriend refused to meet him.

Police reportedly told the court that Tapas’ friends tried to convince his ex-girlfriend to hook up with him, but she refused. The court then observed that this did not amount to abetment to suicide and granted her bail, NDTV reported.

Sources say that both Tapas and his ex-girlfriend were classmates at Amity University. They started living together as soon as their relationship began.

Recently, the woman decided to end her relationship. Tapas wanted to patch it up, but she refused.

The report shows that Tapas lived there Ghaziabad and visited his friend’s house at ul Tallest Towers in Noida Sector 39 on Saturday. His friends called his ex-girlfriend to convince her to go out with him.

She came to the party but stated that she did not want to get along with Tapas. Upset by this, Tapas jumped to his death from the seventh floor, the probe revealed.

Meanwhile, Tapas’ family filed a police complaint against his ex-girlfriend, accusing her of harassing him. Shortly thereafter, the police registered an incitement to suicide.

In a separate incident reported earlier, a 20-year-old student of Amity University, Lucknow, hanged herself in her hostel room on Friday. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Shashank Singh said she is a second-year student of Bachelor of Arts in Legislative Law from Amity University.
