Victim identified in Thursday night shooting in Huntsville

The Madison County coroner has identified Jalil Mohammad as the man killed in a shooting in Oakdale Terrace on Thursday evening.

According to Huntsville police, Mohammad, 46, was killed on January 16 around 10 p.m. at 2700 Oakdale Terrace.

WAFF 48 spoke with Mohammad’s familywho told the facility that he had custody of his five children and that his last words were captured on a home surveillance camera and were allegedly: “Please don’t do this in front of my kids.”

Allen David James Henderson, 25, was charged with Mohammad’s murder and is being held in the Madison County Jail without bond.

According to WAFF 48, Allen Henderson was the son of Mohammad.

Mohammad’s sister, Viola Henderson, told the website that their relationship was difficult, but Mohammad tried to guide his son on the right path.
