Five drivers went missing after the attack, which lasted five hours. Of these, four bodies were found, and the whereabouts of one driver were still unknown. The bodies of the murdered drivers were taken to Alizai Hospital in lower Kurram.

However, a local police official, speaking to AFP on condition of anonymity, put the death toll in the attack at 10 – two security personnel, four drivers and four civilians. the officer said that as many as six drivers were kidnapped.

According to ADC, six attackers were killed in retaliatory fire by security forces. He added that the caravan of 35 vehicles, carrying relief supplies such as medicines, vegetables, fruits and other edible items, was escorted by police, FC and other security forces.

The latest violent incident has sparked fear and uncertainty in the district. Following the incident, the process of dismantling the bunkers has been suspended for the time being and the supply of essential items has been suspended.
