MNPD releases video of officer-involved shooting in Madison

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Metro Nashville Police Department said a man was injured following a confrontation with two detectives Tuesday night.

The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the Cumberland Crossing Apartments on Rio Vista Drive. Police said that as detectives confronted him, an armed man got out of the stolen sedan.

The man was injured while holding a gun in his hand. Police said the sedan was stolen Sunday evening from Cheyenne Boulevard.
