Raviteja's body is likely to reach the city on January 26

Hyderabad: Body Koyyad Ravitejawhich was shot dead in Connecticut, USA by unidentified assailants on January 19, is scheduled to reach Hyderabad on January 26.
The family residing in Green Hills Colony in Chaitanyapuri expected the body to reach home on January 24. Sources told TOI that it was delayed due to procedural formalities.
The 26-year-old was shot by an unidentified perpetrator New Havenin Connecticut when he went to deliver food. Raviteja, who emigrated to the United States in 2022, completed his master’s degree and worked part-time delivering food to a Chinese restaurant. He hoped to find a full-time job in March.
His father Koyyada Chandramouli is a taxi driver and the family hails from Koyyalagudem village in Choutuppal mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district.
After the murder, the Telangana government wrote to the Union Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Consulate General of India (CGI) in New York to help the family expedite the process of sending the mortal remains to India. As it turns out, the Telugu Association of North America is also helping the family.
In a letter to the MEA and CGI, the general administration department (GAD) of the Telangana government urged them to cooperate with the local authorities and the family to complete all legal formalities.
New Haven police have not yet made any arrests in this case. After shooting him, the perpetrators drove away in the car but later abandoned it nearby.
