Dave Franco says everyone wants him to play Luigi Mangione

Dave Franco knows about these Luigi Mangione comparisons.

The 39-year-old actor was asked at the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend about the Internet’s call for him to play Mangione – 26-year-old who he allegedly shot and killed CEO of UnitedHealthcare Brian Thompson, 50, in New York in December 2024 – in a video.

Grace Sherman joked that Mangione has “women and gays, both hot and bothered” and said he “looks like Dave Franco from Eugene Levy Bronski”.

The Mangione script has not yet been announced. However, there are several murder documentaries in the works, including one from Oscar winner Alex Gibney.

Mangione, an Ivy League-educated Tech Whiz, allegedly shot and killed Thompson on West 54th Street in New York City on December 4.
