The police intensify Bauchi’s border safety, kill two bandits

Bauchi’s state police command announced the neutralization of two bandits and the recovery of the AK-49 assault rifle during tactical operation.

The operation, conducted in cooperation with special hunters, was aimed at strengthening safety in the Gwana district and the surrounding border regions in the States of Tarab, Plateau and Gombe.

Police officer of Public Relations, Ahmed Wakil, gave on Wednesday details in a press release, revealing that the operation took place on Tuesday.

The police headquarters of the Alkaleri division initiated a coordinated tactical effect after collecting a reliable interview and using the community network.

According to Wakil, an operation that included supervision in the Dajin Madan forest caused a meeting with suspicious bandits.

During the involvement of two bandits, they were neutralized, and additional attackers who were injured apparently fled to nearby bushes.

“This proactive commitment neutralized two bandits, and reports indicate that additional attackers suffered injuries, fled in disarray and withdrew to nearby bushes,” said Wakil.

The operation also led to the recovery of one AK-49 assault rifle and nine live rounds.

Police forces repeated their involvement in combating banditipria and increasing public security in the whole condition.

“Police forces in Nigeria are steadfast in their mission of cooperation with interested social parties, thus ensuring the protection of the life and property of citizens, while attracting the responsibility of people involved in criminal activities,” said Wakil.

He also called on society to continue supporting the police in their efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
