JD leader (U) shot Gaya Bihara, three took place

The leader of JD (U) was shot by armed men near his residence Bihar’s Gaya’s district and three people were arrested, therefore the police said on Thursday.

The incident took place on Wednesday (February 5, 2025) night, when armed attackers shot the local leader Mahesh Mishry in the village of Churihara in the Belaganj region, said the senior officer.

Mr. Mishra was the secretary of JD (U) blocks and deputy “Mukhiya“Chiraila Panchayat under the jurisdiction of the Belaganj police station.

Deputy Police Superintendent Ravi Prakash Singh said: “Mishra was shot by armed attackers near his house last night. He was immediately taken to the nearest government hospital, where he was recognized as deceased. “Three people were arrested on the basis of statements made by family members of the dead.

Initial investigation revealed that the dispute of real estate may be the cause of the incident, said Deputy Sp. He added that the case was registered and the investigation is pending.
