Near the city of Khiva Valenciathe year’s rainfall fell in just eight hours.

More than 1,000 troops were deployed and footage on social media showed the terrifying impact on the region.

Officials say it is currently “impossible” to determine the final number of people who have died.

Club King’s Cup Wednesday’s match against Parla Escuela has already been canceled.

“The club believes that this is the most appropriate measure due to the serious consequences of #DANA that we are experiencing in the province of Valencia, the recommendations to avoid travel and the interruption of communication with Madrid,” Valencia’s statement read.

Spanish publication Relevo reports that LaLiga is currently considering a request to postpone the match against Liverpool Real Madrid on Saturday, which will be played in Valencia.

The message from Valencia read: “Valencia CF would like to express its sincere condolences to the families and friends of those who died as a result of #DANA.

“Much strength to all neighbors and the affected population, as well as to the groups who are working to prevent the effects of the storm and its consequences.

“The club is at the disposal of the authorities and affected municipalities to assist in any way possible.”

Real Madrid also sent a message of support, writing: “The club’s president and management would like to express their condolences to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives as a result of the storm that hit many areas of our country, especially in the provinces of Valencia and Albacete.
