‘I Miss You’ Ending Explained | Why did Josh leave and who killed Clint?

‘I Miss You’ Ending Explained | Why did Josh leave and who killed Clint?

We have no doubt that fans will get through five episodes of the new thriller on the first day after its premiere, among other things due to its intriguing main premise.

When Kat (Rosalind Eleazar) immersed herself in the world of online dating, the last thing she expected was a profile from her ex-fiancé Josh (Ashley Walters).

He left her speechless just months after the murder of her father Clint (Lenny Henry) 11 years earlier – but where was he? As soon as Kat became aware of Josh’s reappearance, he deleted her from the app and made Kat want to know more.

At the same time, the man who confessed to Clint’s murder, Monte Leburne (Marc Warren), left Kat with more questions than answers when she confronted him about who ordered the hit on her father. As the episodes went on, many of the people closest to Kat were apparently hiding their own secrets, and no one was entirely happy that she was dwelling on the past.

Speaking about his own reaction to the ending of the series, Richard Armitage he said RadioTimes.com exclusively: “It’s literally like opening a door at the end and you discover the truth, and then the truth hits you in the face.”

But how did things end for Kat in Missing You? Read the full description of the latest episode of Harlan Coben’s series.

The penultimate episode of Missing You ended quite dramatically as Kat began searching for Josh through the mailbox he was known for. Seeing another man receiving a package from the same mailbox, Kat followed him to a house in the countryside.

Although the man seemed a bit hostile at first and said he didn’t know who Josh was, Kat stayed nearby and saw a little girl playing on the beach. As she approached, she was surprised to see Josh himself walking towards them.

The latest episode begins with little girl Sadie recognizing Josh as “daddy.” Once they are alone, Kat interrogates Josh if he knows Dana Fells (Lisa Faulkner), and he replies that he has never heard of this person before. She tells Kat that Sadie’s mother died a few years ago and the man she met is actually her ex’s father, who now lives with Josh and Sadie.

Josh claims he never signed up for a dating app and explains that he had to leave Kat 11 years ago. Josh admits that he visited Monte Leburne in prison and found out that Clint was corrupt, but he couldn’t tell Kat at the time. Kat finally leaves and returns to her apartment building, where she sees Brendan (Oscar Kennedy) being loaded into the back of a van.

Brendan went to talk to Kat, but was spied on by Titus (Steve Pemberton), who calls Brendan saying that his mother Dana is in the back of the van and needs to come over immediately. Falling into a trap, Titus’ employee Reynaldo beats up Brendan and they quickly drive away, with Kat chasing them but failing to catch up.

Meanwhile, at Titus’ farm, Dana is caught making a hurried call to Brendan by one of Titus’ employees and defends herself by stabbing him with a nearby axe.

Back at the station, Kat and her team track the van to dog breeders in a specific area and hit the road to look for it. At the farm, Titus and Reynaldo find the body of a second worker in the kitchen and realize that Dana has not only escaped, but also returned. Titus says the only way to deal with this is to burn down the entire estate.

Kat and Nia go to Titus’ address, where we see that the fire is actually burning. Although Reynaldo claims they will “leave their fortune” to die, Dana sneaks into the stables to free the other prisoners, who were also scammed on dating apps and held hostage when Titus stole their money. They attack Reynaldo in the stables and, hearing the scream, Kat goes to Titus’ estate alone.

Titus yells for Dana to come out and show herself, shooting Brendan in the leg as leverage. Kat hears his screams and comes running as well, a fight ensues and Titus points his gun at Kat and is about to shoot her, but she shoots him just in time.

Stagger admits to Kat that he arranged special treatment for Monte Leburne while he was in prison, but not only that, he also confirms that he paid Leburne to say that he killed Clint.

Stagger admits that he knew Clint was cheating on Odette, but he was only trying to end the investigation to keep Kat safe.

Just as Kat is wrapping up the drama at Titus’ farm, Calligan (James Nesbitt) calls her and provides information about the mysterious person with whom Clint was having an affair. Kat says she wants to know and goes to the address the next day.

There she meets Parker (Cyril Nri), who is surprised to see her, but admits that Kat looks like Clint. He says that he always thought that Odette would eventually knock and that he had been thinking for years about what she would say to her.

Parker tells Kat that he and Clint have been together for 14 years and that he shared the fact that Clint had a wife and daughter to deal with. Parker says he tried to leave Clint and build a life away from him, but he always came back to him.

Parker says that Calligan knew about Clint’s secret relationship with him and blackmailed him into working for him.

But Clint finally had enough of being used by Calligan and broke up with Parker. Parker tells Kat that the last time he saw Clint was the night he died, saying he was a “mess”, but he also hadn’t seen him that scared and that he ran away in a panic.

What’s going on with Kat and Josh?

After a long day of talking to Parker, Kat returns home to find Josh standing outside her door. They go to the park and catch up, which eventually leads to a kiss.

Some time passes and we see Josh come back into Kat’s life and the two meet up with Aqua (Mary Malone) and Stacey (Jessica Plummer) and Kat brings Josh to Odette.

They wake up one morning as Josh is taking a shower and Kat receives a call from Charlie (Charlie Hamblett), who says that after a few days, they finally managed to match the fingerprints to the gun that killed Clint.

Kat is on speaker phone with Charlie when Charlie tells her that the print was matched to a bar fight in Scotland – which means it belongs to Josh.

With a fingerprint on the murder weapon linking Josh to Clint’s murder, Josh tearfully tells Kat that he didn’t mean to kill Clint. He explains that he was there the night Clint died, as was Aqua.

Aqua saw Clint with Parker, but Aqua immediately turned and left. Clint hurried after Aqua, scared of what Kat might say. Clint called Stagger to ask for Aqua’s address, but he sounded stressed on the phone, so Stagger tried to get there before Clint.

Aqua called Josh because she was worried when Clint was banging on her door. Aqua finally let Clint into her house, telling Clint that she knew what Clint was going through, but this sentiment only seemed to anger Clint even more. “You had it easy,” Clint tells her.

Aqua tries to tell Clint that he can live his truth and stop lying to people about who he loves and that his family will understand. At the same moment, Kat calls Aqua and Clint gets angry, afraid that Aqua has already told her something.

Aqua tries to escape, but Clint knocks her to the floor. Aqua gets up and pulls a knife from the kitchen, holding it to Clint and telling him to back off, but Clint knocks it out of her hand and continues to beat her.

Josh comes in and tries to stop Clint as he retrieves his knife to stab Aqua, but during the struggle, Josh turns the knife on Clint and stabs him. As Clint falls to the floor, Stagger rushes in and Clint tells Stagger not to tell Kat and not to involve the police.

As Josh tries to call an ambulance, Clint takes his last breath and Stagger takes control of the crime scene. Josh explains that they got Leburne to confess so that the case could be closed and everyone could go back to normal, but that wasn’t the case with Josh, who had to see Kat every day and lie to her.

Josh admits he was still living a lie for the last week when they reconnected, but he just wanted to see Kat happy and be with her again. The couple sits on the bed together and Kat strokes Josh’s hand, both still reeling from Josh’s confession.
