I was wondering if one particular Yellowstone character would be involved in a Rip and Beth spinoff, and their latest post gives me hope

When I found out about it Rip and Beth got a spin-off following Season 5 finale YellowstoneI immediately started wondering what other characters could be involved in their series. Namely, Carter and Lloyd are the two I was thinking about because they are the closest to the couple who will lead this project. With that in mind, you can imagine how excited I was when Lloyd actor Forrie J. Smith posted about the future Yellowstone.

Taking to Instagram To reflect on the New Year and the loss of friend and legendary barrel racer Sammy Thurman Brackenbury, Forrie J. Smith posted a simple video of him talking to the camera while wearing Yellowstone-branded vest. At the very end, he also linked the program he has been playing in for years and suggested its future. Without giving anything away, actor Lloyd said:

Hey Yellowstone addicts, I’d stay together. One in honor of Cody Ring. And secondly, Taylor Sheridan, he didn’t say it was over.

By comparison, Ring was, as Smith went on to say TikTok“boss Yellowstone addicts” and a huge fan of the series. Then he talked about the man who created Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan. Like he said, fans shouldn’t assume this story is over… and I hope that means Lloyd will be back, too.

When Cole Hauser talked about Rip’s futurehe noted that “hopefully we will be able to continue to reach people’s homes.” He also said we’ll all have to wait and see “what happens over the next year.” Currently, a spinoff about a beloved one Yellowstone couple, Rip and Bethhas not been confirmed by Paramount. However, reports say that both Hauser and Kelly Reilly they allegedly signed deals to reprise their roles.

So it’s clear that it’s not over yet Yellowstone writing. It looks like Forrie J. Smith is on the same page.

As he himself stated, Taylor Sheridan didn’t say that nothing was over and as the famous saying goes, “It’s not over until it’s over.” So it makes sense that Lloyd could return in some capacity, and I think a Rip and Beth spin-off makes the most sense.

There are several of them at the moment upcoming Yellowstone can be seen going down the pipe. This includes Madison, 6666 and the Rip and Beth show. It’s possible that Lloyd will appear in any of them. However, it seems most logical that he would end up on their show with Hauser and Reilly.

This was proven to me at the end of season five when Rip offered the rancher a bed and a job at his new ranch in Dillon. Hauser’s character made it clear that of every cowboy working for the Duttons, the two who could stay with him after they left were Carter, who is basically his son, and Lloyd, his best friend.

It seems natural for Lloyd to stay by Rip’s side, and I really want that. They get along great, support each other throughout, and it would be nice to have another distinct thread that connects Rip and Beth’s next story back to Yellowstone.

Ultimately, however, time will tell what will happen in this matter. We don’t know any major details about what will happen next Yellowstone and its spin-offs. Although Smith’s comments seem to allude to the idea that he is not done cowboying for Taylor Sheridan and being part of Yellowstone to throw Already. So we’re keeping our fingers crossed that he returns with Rip and Beth in the new series!
