Nashville police investigate Antioch murder and suicide victims

Police said homicide detectives are investigating an apparent murder-suicide after a man and a woman were found fatally shot in their apartment Friday evening.

Metro Nashville police say they believe Eric Lebron Hale, 53, fatally shot his girlfriend, Cheron Sanders, 47, before shooting and committing suicide in his apartment on Baby Ruth Lane in Antioch on Friday evening.

Police arrived at the apartment shortly before 6 p.m. after Sanders’ son found his mother and Hale fatally injured.

Authorities said police responded to the apartment as early as March 2024, when Sanders reported Hale pulled her hair and held a knife to her neck.

Hale was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.

According to the press release, the charge was dismissed in July 2024.
