The Montreal Canadiens youngster missed time after a car accident

One of the brightest young faces of the Montreal Canadiens will be out of the lineup after an accident in Utah. The Canadiens announced that 23-year-old forward Emil Heineman was involved in a traffic accident as a pedestrian.

The Canadiens say Heineman will be sidelined for at least three to four weeks after suffering an upper-body injury.

Heineman is entering his first full season at the NHL level, having appeared in 41 of the Canadiens’ 42 games this season. In 41 games played, Heineman scored 10 goals and made seven assists, for a total of 17 points.

Heineman played on the Canadiens’ fourth line with Jake Evans and Joel Armia. All three strikers are having great years offensively despite their places in the squad.

The Canadiens are one of the most surprising teams of the 2024-25 season their young core begins to be successful. After 42 games, they have a record of 20-18-4 and have been one of the hottest teams in the NHL lately.

The Canadiens are 7-2-1 in their last 10 games played and are within striking distance Eastern Conference wild card spot.

Heineman has played a role in getting the Canadiens to where they are at this point in the season, and we will miss him without him in the lineup.

This is the second car accident in which an NHL player has been involved in recent days. Pittsburgh Penguins forward Michael Bunting was involved in an accident before the Penguins’ game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sunday.
