Oakland County man arrested on sexual assault charges

HAZEL PARK, MI. – An Oakland County man was arrested Oct. 30 on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman.

A woman reported to Hazel Park police that 26-year-old Christopher Jordan Outerbridge suffered sexual assault in her apartment on October 29.

The woman had met Outerbridge a week before the incident during a chance meeting while doing car work. This led to the two going on a quick date at a house party and meeting at the Outerbridge apartment in Hazel Park.

She ate some food and, according to police, at one point she and Outerbridge embraced and kissed. When Outerbridge began groping her, she made it clear that she did not want to have any sexual relations.

Outerbridge allegedly ignored her wishes and sexually assaulted her.

After the alleged attack, the woman took her belongings and left the apartment. That’s when she went to the police to report the sexual assault. She was taken to a local hospital for a medical examination.

Outerbridge was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct. He was arraigned on Nov. 1 and his bail was set at $10,000. He is obliged to have a GPS with him and have no contact with the victim after his release.
