Driver wanted for a road accident in which a 74-year-old woman was injured

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Officers are searching for a hit-and-run driver who seriously injured a 74-year-old woman Thursday evening near Madison, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department.

MNPD says a woman was hit while trying to cross Gallatin Pike at Welworth Street.

Witnesses told police that around 7:45 p.m., the woman was trying to cross the intersection when the driver of a red sedan (possibly a Toyota) hit her.

Police said she was taken to Skyline Medical Center, where she is being treated.

“Anyone with information about the driver/vehicle that hit police is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers may remain anonymous,” the MNPD said.
