Geneva charged with grand larceny – investigators say four other people are involved

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office said a Geneva man is facing grand larceny and conspiracy charges after allegedly stealing two generators from a Waterloo business.

Harold J. Rivera, 41, was arrested Nov. 1 by sheriff’s investigators and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fifth-degree conspiracy. Authorities say Rivera and four others entered the business, took two generators worth $1,670 and left without paying.

Four of the five suspects have been arrested and more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

Rivera was interviewed at the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office and is scheduled to be arraigned in the Central Court of Arraignment Part.
