Man charged with assaulting an ambulance worker in Sheffield

A man has been charged with assault in the beating of a lifeguard in Sheffield.

According to South Yorkshire Police, a 24-year-old man has been arrested following an incident in the city center on Friday.

He was also charged with driving a motor vehicle without a driving license or third party liability insurance, failing to stop on a doctor’s order and driving without due care and attention.

A police spokesman said he was released on bail to appear before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on November 29.
