AP No. 1 Oregon Ducks have proven they belong Big 10.

They enter Saturday’s matchup in Week 10 undefeated, after defeating the Ohio State Buckeyes just a few weeks ago.

However, they face a major obstacle in the form of the Michigan Wolverines.

Even though Michigan isn’t the same team it was last year, its defense – ranking 32nd in the country in allowed success rate – remains a formidable force.

The Ducks are elite offensively, ranking eighth among FBS teams in both passing efficiency and rushing.

Despite this, we saw how poorly they started the season – this year on the road they scored an average of only 9.3 points in the first quarter.

This road environment will be their biggest challenge to date.

With the Big House swinging, disrupting communication and giving the Wolverines defensive energy, another slow start for the Ducks is likely.

On the other side of the contest, Michigan was looking for answers on offense.

The Wolverines currently have their third quarterback on the season in Davis Warren.

However, Warren failed to impress as he had three touchdowns and six picks on 91 pass attempts.

The uncertainty in the passing game allowed opposing defenses to focus their efforts on stopping the rush – just like last week when Michigan State was held to 3.8 yards per carry.

Oregon is solid against the run, ranking 55th in rushing success rate allowed, and will be able to sell everything to stop the run because the secondary is excellent and Michigan’s offense is unproven.

Look for these teams to trade stops early and keep this team under their first half total.
