A pedestrian hit by a vehicle is seriously injured in Val-des-Sources

VAL-DES-SOURCES — According to the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), a pedestrian was in critical condition Sunday after being hit by a vehicle in eastern Val-des-Sources Saturday evening.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Morin Blvd around 7 p.m. and 3rd Ave. for a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a man about 40 years old, was seriously injured. The SQ said he was transported to hospital and authorities feared for his life.

According to preliminary information gathered by police, a pedestrian in the crosswalk was struck by a vehicle traveling south on Morin Blvd.

An accident reconstruction specialist was dispatched to analyze the scene and try to understand the causes and circumstances of the incident.
