Andhra Pradesh: 4 people die due to electrocution while hanging banner, CM Naidu announces compensation of ₹ 5 lakh

Andhra Pradesh News: Four people died and another was seriously injured after being electrocuted while putting up banners commemorating the event at Taatiparru village in East Godavari district, ANI reported on Monday. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced the compensation 5 lakhs for the next of kin of the deceased.

CM Naidu expressed shock over the incident and instructed the authorities to provide proper treatment to the injured person, ANI reported, citing AP CMO. He also provided full support to the family members of the deceased.

“CM N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock over the incident. He directed officials to provide the injured with the best medical care. He assured that the government would support the families affected by the disaster and expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. The government announced compensation in the amount of 5 lakh to each family of the deceased,” ANI quoted the CMO of Andhra Pradesh.
