Police identify the victim who died in a shooting at an Oriole Street apartment

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Police have identified the victim in a fatal shooting that occurred Thursday morning, October 24.

Carlis Sanders, 31, was shot around 10:35 a.m. on Oriole Street near Scotland Avenue, according to the Baton Rouge Police Department.

When they arrived, Sanders was found inside the apartment with multiple gunshot wounds. The injured person was taken to hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.

The motive and perpetrators are not known yet.

This is an ongoing investigation.
