Campaign hack: Chinese hackers believed to have attacked Donald Trump and JD Vance’s cell phones: sources

Chinese hackers are believed to have attacked the former president’s cell phones Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, according to sources familiar with the matter.

This week, Trump/Vance campaign officials received information that Trump and Vance were among several people whose phone numbers were likely targeted and potentially compromised, sources said. It is unclear whether or how the devices were accessed. Investigators are working to determine that information, sources tell ABC News.

The FBI and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency issued a statement about the hacks but did not name the campaign. However, sources tell ABC News the target was the Trump and Vance campaign.
