Matthew Byars, ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ talent manager, dies at 37

Matthew Byars, a talent manager known for his appearances with “The Real Housewives of Potomac” star and fellow actor Karen Huger, died Thursday at the age of 37, according to multiple sources. media reports on Friday, and suicide as the manner of death.

“Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast member Melissa Gorga shared several photos of Byars on her Instagram with the caption, “I wish I could have saved you.”

Gorga also wrote: “Why didn’t you tell me Matt? I’m devastated. Your personality was contagious. Your jokes, you always had them. You should have stood up, I know it was your dream. My heart hurts, Matt. It doesn’t make them like us…. Thank you for the memories.”

In 2019, Huger told Bravo’s Daily Dish that she had known Byars since he was 17 or 18 years old. “I encourage Matt when life is hard. “A lot of people in Potomac call me ‘Mama Karen’ because I love helping young people,” she said at the time. “When life was testing him, I reached out and told him to go to school, and he did, and now we work together.”

Huger also said, “Matt is a good guy and we are two powerful forces together. We make great things happen off screen, in our family and personal lives, and, as you’ve noticed, we also make great things happen on screen. We are good.”

Former RHOP star Charrisse Jackson-Jordan shared a photo with Byars on her Instagram Stories with the caption, “Rest In Peace.” People.
