Topeka women arrested for allegedly forging checks

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – Shawnee Co. Sheriff’s Office announced that a Topeka woman is facing felony charges in connection with alleged theft and forgery.

On Friday, November 22, the Shawnee Co. Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division. arrested Jessica R. Bennett, 38, of Topeka. The arrest follows an investigation into check theft.

The sheriff’s office assisted the Topeka Police Department (TPD).

Bennett was arrested and booked into the Shawnee Co. Department of Corrections. for the following reasons:

  • Forgery
  • Theft by fraud
