Black Michigan voter tells NBC: ‘I don’t hear’ fascism or anger from Trump

One Black Michigan voter doesn’t believe former President Trump’s recent claims he is a “fascist”.

Trump voter Allen Tomkowiak spoke to an NBC News crew on Sunday about the “final decisions” leading up to the November 5 presidential election. As several Democratic politicians, including Vice President Kamala Harris, have accused Trump of being a fascist over the past few days, Tomkowiak has denied the claims.

“I’ve heard a lot about Trump being angry and a fascist and a dictator, but the problem is, when I listen to him, I hear none of that,” Tomkowiak said in a clip on MSNBC’s “Alex Witt Reports.”

Tomkowiak’s comments came a few days after Harris’ speech on Wednesday comparing Trump to Adolf Hitler at the same time accusing him of wanting uncontrolled power.

“It’s clear from John Kelly’s words that Donald Trump is someone, and I quote, ‘certainly fits the general definition of a fascist,’ who in fact vowed to be a dictator from day one and vowed to use the military as his personal militia to carry out his personal and political revenge,” Harris said. “Donald Trump is increasingly unbalanced and unstable, so in a second term there would be no people like John Kelly to protect his tendencies and actions.”

She also wrote on Twitter: “Donald Trump wants unchecked power. He wants an army like Adolf Hitler that will be loyal to him, not our constitution. He is unbalanced, unstable and if he were given a second term there would be no one left. to keep him from acting out his worst impulses.”

On Thursday, Harris doubled down on Trump and Hitler comparisons during: CNN town hall.

“You quoted General Milley calling Donald Trump a fascist. You yourself didn’t use that word to describe him. Let me ask you tonight, do you think Donald Trump is a fascist?” CNN’s Anderson Cooper asked Harris.

“Yes. Yes, I do,” Harris replied.
