Kellogg & Washington disaster linked to reported kidnapping

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – Police say a crash that injured three people is linked to a reported kidnapping.

The crash occurred around 4 a.m. Tuesday near Kellogg and Washington. Police said a person called 911 and reported a kidnapping. The caller then chased the car involved in the alleged kidnapping to Kellogg.

The driver tried to accelerate, but the car overturned. The driver of the car involved in the alleged hijacking was taken to hospital and is expected to survive. Two passengers suffered minor injuries.

Police will be speaking to people who were in the car about the reported kidnapping. You may spot police near the Washington exit onto Kellogg as they clean up the scene Tuesday morning.
