Trump promises to create a compensation fund for victims of illegal immigrant crimes

Former President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that, if elected, his administration would establish a compensation fund to provide compensation to victims of migration crimes, financed by assets seized by the U.S. government criminal gangs and drug cartels.

Trump held event Tuesday morning from Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, which hosted mothers of illegal immigrant crime victims.

“Today I am announcing that for the first time under my administration, we will seize the assets of criminal gangs and drug cartels and use those assets to create a compensation fund that will provide redress to victims of immigrant crime,” Trump said on Tuesday. “And the government will help with restitution. But something has to be done and we will do it.”

Trump exploded Vice President Kamala Harris for her role in the growing migrant crisis at the US southern border, claiming she has “destroyed our borders.”

Trump reminded those in attendance that President Biden had named Harris as his “border czar.”

“She doesn’t want to use that term, but let’s say we’ll use another term – she was responsible for the boundaries. Totally responsible,” Trump said. “She never called the Border Patrol.”

Earlier this month, the National Border Patrol Council endorsed Trump, Trump said, noting that he believed he was “the best president we’ve ever had and by far the best president on the border.”

“They said she was the worst person to ever work with them on the border,” Trump said. “The most incompetent – ​​the least caring. Think about it, for almost four years not a single call was made to the Border Patrol… They are wonderful people, men and women… They want to do their job. She didn’t call them once.”

Trump then played a new video of the mother of Jocelyn Nungaray, a 12-year-old girl allegedly murdered by two undocumented migrants. Trump described her as “one mother whose life was completely destroyed by Kamala.”

In an emotional film, Alexis Nungaray recalls the last moments with her daughter and the painful discovery that she was murdered by two men staying in the US illegally. The men, reportedly linked to a gang known for brutal violence, were detained but later released by the US Border Patrol.

“Kamala Harris was in charge of immigration and our borders,” Nungaray said in the video. “If we had a better border policy, not an open border, not a catch-and-release policy, I truly believe all of this could have been prevented.”

Nungaray added: “Kamala Harris had one job and she not only let me down, she let my daughter down as well.”

Nungaray remembers that Trump first reached out to her, saying he offered her “my sincerest condolences, not as a former president, but as a father who cares.”

“I think Donald Trump should come back to office,” he says in the recording. “At least I can know that my next child will be safe in this country.”

Trump also hosted Tammy Nobles, the mother of Kayla Hamilton, who was allegedly murdered by an illegal immigrant and MS-13 member from El Salvador.

“She broke it in case after case. They were breaking it off together. But for the purposes of this election, she was breaking it. I can’t let her go,” Trump said. “And I’m going to fix it, and I’m going to fix it very quickly.”

Trump said that regarding illegal immigrants who will be “taken out of the country” as part of his “mass deportation” operation, if an illegal person returns to the U.S. “there will be laws put in place that will be immediately enacted if they serve ten years” in prison “They won’t come back.”

“And if that’s not enough, we’ll have to do something else,” he said. “But we don’t want them back. They won’t come back.”

Trump also said that if elected, he would seek the death penalty for any migrant who enters the country and kills an American citizen or law enforcement officer.

Trump’s event took place late Tuesday morning, after which Trump traveled to Pennsylvania for a roundtable and rally.

Harris will deliver a speech Tuesday night at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C., and plans to deliver her closing message to voters.
