Jay-Z’s rape accuser may remain anonymous in court proceedings

Jay-Z’s rape accuser may continue his case in her lawsuit against him and Sean “Diddy” Combs and remain anonymous, the New York judge ruled.

In court documents received “Post”. On Thursday, Judge Analisa Torres decided that “the weight of the factors supports allowing the plaintiff to remain anonymous, at least at this stage of the proceedings.”

Torres explained her reasoning through various points, noting that the court “is not required to enumerate each factor or use any specific language so long as it is clear that the court has balanced the interests at stake in reaching its conclusion.”

Ultimately, the judge believes the alleged victim is “particularly vulnerable to possible harm from disclosure” because she allegedly “continues to suffer from depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and seizures related to the stress of the sexual assault.”

“Carter’s attorney’s relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks is inappropriate, constitutes a waste of judicial resources, and is a tactic that is unlikely to benefit his client,” she wrote in her ruling.

“The court will not expedite the court process just because a lawyer requests it.”
