A teenager died by suicide in Ghaziabad due to his father’s scolding

According to reports, the victim’s father scolded her for sleeping in the afternoon instead of studying.

Police said a 17-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide after being scolded by her father on Friday.

“Kajal Singh was a class 12 student,” said ACP Indrapuram Swantra Kumar Singh.

According to reports, her father scolded her for sleeping in the afternoon instead of studying. Angered by this, she hung herself from a ceiling fan with a stole, ACP said.

When Jaiveer Singh saw his daughter hanging, he rushed her to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead on arrival, ACP added.

The body was sent for autopsy. Further investigation is ongoing, ACP added.
