Police are searching for a male suspect who fled after being arrested following a robbery in North York.

Police are searching for a male suspect who fled after being arrested following a robbery in North York.

The incident occurred on December 15 near York Mills Road and Yonge Street.

Toronto police said they responded to the area shortly before 6 p.m. on a report of a person armed with a knife.

According to investigators, the man and another person argued after leaving the Yonge Street subway station. They testified that the man attacked another person.

Officers arrived at the scene and interviewed both parties.

After the arrest, the suspected man escaped from police custody, he added.

He is described as being in his 20s with black curly hair and was last seen wearing a black puffy jacket with a white “North Face” logo on the right shoulder on the back, a red hoodie and a black neck gaiter in black and white. checkered pajama pants and white sneakers.
