A 19-year-old man died in an accident in Phenix City

PHENIX CITY, Ala. (WTVM) – A 19-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Phenix City.

According to the Russell County Coroner’s Office, Marshall Cole Woods arrived on the scene just before 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Authorities said the crash occurred on the Colin Powell off-ramp of the highway. 280.

Coroner Arthur Sumbry Jr. said the victim suffered blunt force injuries. Woods’ body will be sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences for an autopsy.
