Kentwood man hit by car in Byron Township

BYRON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Kentwood man died Thursday night after being hit by a car in Byron Township.

The incident occurred around 68^vol According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO), it happened at Street and Creekstone Lane around 7:30 p.m.

We’re told a westbound Honda Odyssey hit a pedestrian. Emergency services tried to save his life, but he died in hospital.

Deputies say the driver, a 39-year-old Gaines Township woman, was unharmed.

KCSO is still investigating what caused the crash.
