A man from Bhubaneswar in Odisha has been arrested for allegedly murdering his wife with the help of two girls after she came to know about his extramarital affairs. Bhubaneswar police also arrested two girls who helped the accused in killing the man.

According to a report published by ‘Bhubaneswar’, the accused, identified as Pradyumna Kumar Das, took his wife Subhashree to a hospital in Bhubaneswar alleging that she had tried to take her own life. India today. Upon arrival, doctors pronounced her dead.

The accused also reported his wife’s alleged suicide to the police, following which a case of unnatural death was registered and her body was sent for post-mortem. Police later noticed a crime involving his wife’s death, and an autopsy revealed that she had been forcibly injected with an overdose of anesthetic.

According to the findings, during the police confrontation with the accused, he confessed to committing the crime and told the police that he was involved with two other women and planned to kill his wife. When she found out about his extramarital affairs, the couple argued often.

“It came to light that the deceased woman was forcibly administered anesthesia, after which she succumbed. A special team investigating the case found that the deceased’s husband and two friends conspired criminally and forcibly injected anesthesia into his 26-year-old wife. It is a clear case of murder,” Bhubaneswar DCP Pinak Mishra told news agency ANI.

It also came to light that accused Das had ordered anesthetic injections from his partners who worked in the pharmacy and lured Subhashree to meet him at the house of one of his girlfriends. Upon arrival, she was forcibly administered two anesthetic injections, which resulted in her death.
