A doctor murdered for asking a group to clear a road

Rajkot: A group of people who were blocking roads by parking their cars allegedly murdered a 51-year-old man running a medical practice in Vartej area of Bhavnagar city on Diwali night.
The police said that the incident occurred on Friday around 1 a.m. and the victim: Shivraj Lakhanihe was a doctor.
The victim’s son, Kahan, filed a police complaint at the Vartej police station, stating that a group of people killed his father only because he asked them to clear the road and make room for his car.
At night, Kahan and his friend were going to refuel their car because his parents wanted to leave for a pilgrimage on Friday morning. When they reached Yoginagar, the group parked their cars on the road and danced to loud music. Kahan blew his horn and asked for the road to be cleared. However, the accused became furious and started throwing stones at the car and then started beating him.
Kahan called his father for help, but when he arrived, the attackers stabbed him multiple times as the argument escalated.
Police identified the attackers as Prakash Khokhar, Bhavesh alias Bhavin Pandya, Kishan Dagla, Ritesh Khesti, Dev Chudasam and others. They were arrested for murder and other relevant sections of the BNS.
