New details have been released in the death of a Greenville Co. infant. left alone in the bathtub in June

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) – The Greenville County Coroner’s Office has released the cause and manner of death of an infant who died in July.

On June 20, 8-month-old Zander Lawson was left unattended in a bathtub for an extended period of time, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

When first responders arrived, they said they tried to resuscitate the baby, but on July 27, Zander died on life support.

28-year-old Lynda Lawson and her boyfriend, 26-year-old Robert Eugene Bull Jr. were initially charged with unlawful conduct towards a child, but were refused bail in the summer.

A new report from the coroner’s office says an autopsy found the cause of death was complications from drowning and the death was classified as an accident.

This case is still under investigation.
