An Estero man died in a crash in Bonita Springs

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred around 1:50 p.m. on northbound Interstate 75 at mile marker 120 in Bonita Springs.

Troopers said a dump truck driven by a 51-year-old Lehigh Acres man was traveling north when it struck the back of the dump truck.

According to the police, after the collision the car drove onto the roadside with grass and overturned.

The Estero man died at the scene, making him one of at least 102 crash deaths in Lee County this year. The dump truck driver suffered minor injuries.
