The best TD bets at all times for Commanders vs. Giants and Jaguars vs. Eagles in Week 9 NFL

The best TD bets at all times for Commanders vs. Giants and Jaguars vs. Eagles in Week 9 NFL

The Giants and Eagles have shown opposite trends all season, but both have reason to be optimistic heading into Week 9 of the NFL.

The Eagles are coming off an impressive 37-17 victory over the Bengals, while the Giants are looking to bounce back from a hard-fought loss to a better-than-expected Steelers team.

In the case of Commanders vs. The Giants over-under is 43.5, which means we shouldn’t expect too many touchdowns (which is why we should limit our TD scorer bets at any point).

Meanwhile, the Eagles host the Jaguars in a game with a total of 45.5 points – again, not the best situation for TD bettors.

Still, I like a few bets on the TD scorer at any time in both games. Let’s get into my top TD scorer bets for Commanders vs. Giants and Jaguars vs. Eagles, according to the latest NFL Week 9 Odds.

The best TD scorer bets at all times for Commanders vs. Giants

Malik Nabers anytime TD scorer

Chances: +130 on DraftKings

TD prop Malik Nabers anytime at plus odds? Yes, please. The Commanders have allowed the third-most TDs to wide receivers this season (10). Moreover, in the first game against Washington, Nabers had 10 rebounds for 127 yards (on 18 targets!).

He also had a key drop in this match that I’m sure he hasn’t forgotten. Nabers will do his best to make up for it by catching Daniel Jones’ first TD pass of the season at MetLife Stadium (yes, it’s real, check it out).

Daniel Jones anytime TD scorer

Chances: +350 on FanDuel

The Giants are the worst red zone offense in the entire NFL (TD on 36.7% of trips, according to Teamrankings.com). Putting any player in a TD scoring position at any time should be accompanied by a warning from the Surgeon General.

That said, teams that are bad in the red zone often resort to gimmicks in this area because nothing else works.

And it’s not even that weird of an idea. Only five QBs have more red zone breakaway attempts than Jones. He has even more than Lamar Jackson (10-9)!

Washington ranks 29th in red zone defense, allowing TDs on 69.6% of opponents’ passes. Something’s gotta give. Jones’ chances here are very attractive.

The best TD scorer bets at any time for Jaguars vs. Eagles

Jalen Hurts scores 2 TDs

Chances: +600 on DraftKings

Tush Push is alive and well despite the retirement of center Jason Kelce. Last week, Hurts scored two 1-yard TDs in the game. He also added a 7-yard TD run, so that seems a little chalky. I would stay away from such a bet against any defense other than Jacksonville.

Only three AFC teams have allowed more rushing yards to opposing QBs than the Jaguars (210). Two QBs, Caleb Williams and Josh Allen, did the most damage on the ground against the Jags. Hurts is a better striker than both of them.

Grant Calcaterra anytime TD scorer

Chances: +225 on DraftKings

Calcaterra will likely start a third straight game for Dallas Goedert (hamstring) and it will be a great matchup for him. Calcaterra scored 3 balls for 58 yards in the game against Cincinnati.

Now he faces a Jaguars defense that has allowed him the second-most rushing yards in the NFL (271.1 yards per carry) and second-most yards per carry (5). Most of the Jaguars’ attention will be on AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith, which means Calcaterra is a sneaky read zone option.
