One arrested, one injured in Huntsville attack

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – One person was arrested and another was injured in an assault Saturday morning in Huntsville.

According to the Huntsville Police Department, just before 8 a.m. officers responded to the 3100 block of Triana Boulevard in reference to a fight in progress.

When officers arrived on scene, they reportedly found the victim in the parking lot with injuries consistent with a knife attack.

Police said the suspect was found nearby and detained. At this time, the suspect has not been arrested.

The victim was transported to Huntsville Hospital and is expected to survive.

Huntsville Police believe this was an isolated incident between the victim and suspect.

The incident is currently under investigation.
