A missing man was found dead in a motorcycle crash near Cedar City

CEDAR CITY, Utah (KUTV) — A man who was reported missing has been found dead in a motorcycle crash near Cedar City.

Cedar City police posted on Facebook Wednesday that they were looking for Eduardo Gutierrez-Nava, 35, last seen riding a dark silver Ducati motorcycle.

On Saturday, police said Gutierrez-Nava was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident on SR-14. The day of the accident was not specified, but on Saturday a volunteer searcher found his motorcycle and remains.

“Preliminary investigation indicates that the victim may have lost control of the motorcycle, which led to the fatal accident,” police said.

The Utah Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

Cedar City police said, “Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones affected by this tragedy.”
