Pedestrian hit and injured by car west of Las Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are responding to a pedestrian crash west of the Strip Friday morning.

At approximately 11:37 p.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officers responded to a report of a crash near West Flamingo Road and Cameron Street. The officers who arrived at the scene located the injured pedestrian and took him to the hospital; his condition is critical.

Detectives who handled the case are on site and investigating.

Both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Flamingo will remain closed until further notice.

Residents are advised to avoid the area.
