A Madhya Pradesh woman stabbed her husband with his first wife more than 50 times during Diwali, arrested

A woman from Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district seriously injured her husband’s first wife by stabbing her more than 50 times after an argument. A chilling video of the incident has surfaced online, showing Mansi, the accused, repeatedly stabbing Jaya.

According to the police, Mansi, 22, and Jaya, 26, are married to a man named Rambabu Verma. The incident took place on October 31 on Diwali when Mansi and Jaya had an argument over an issue which later escalated into violence.

In a fit of rage, Mansi stabbed Jaya more than 50 times. A video of the bloody incident showed Mansi standing near Jaya, who was lying injured in a pool of blood after the attack. Mansi can also be seen kicking Jaya’s face and abusing her.

India Today is not sharing the video of the event due to the graphic nature of the content.

Jaya was taken to hospital, where her condition was stated to be critical.

After being informed about the incident, a police team reached the spot and arrested Mansi under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhiata (BNS).

According to the police, Jaya married Rambabu Verma in 2019. However, due to her poor health, Verma married Mansi in 2021.

Talking about the case, senior police officer Udit Mishra said that a case has been registered. “Rambabu’s first wife Jaya was often ill, which led him to marry Manasi. We are waiting for the victim’s statement which will add to our investigation,” Mishra told the media.
