Is TJ Hockenson playing tonight? (Injury update, impact of prop betting in Colts vs.

Minnesota Vikings tight end TJ Hockenson is set to return to action after missing the first eight weeks of the 2024 season due to anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rehab.

Hockenson was injured late in the 2023 season, but over the past few weeks his injuries have become questionable and out of consideration, allowing him to make his season debut on Sunday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts.

Here’s Hockenson’s betting breakdown for the Week 9 game.

DraftKings Sportsbook Odds.

Hockenson was the main target of Kevin O’Connell’s offense last season, recording 95 receptions on 127 targets in 15 games.

Hock averaged 53.5 yards per game, so he’s a bit underrated considering those numbers in his season debut.

The question is how involved will Hockenson be in an offense that has depended heavily on Justin Jefferson in recent weeks?

I don’t mind acquiring one of Hockenson’s mainstays, but bettors need to be careful that he doesn’t see fewer snaps as the team tries to ease him back into the game. Since we don’t have any data on Hock playing with Sam Darnold, there is some obvious risk with him in the prop market.
