Jeffrey Epstein was “afraid” of his former pal Donald Trump in the final years of his life, according to author Michael Wolff, who spends hours interviewing the multimillionaire sex offender.

Just days before the 2024 presidential election, Wolff broke years of silence by revealing that Epstein was the source of his best-selling book Fire and Fury. He even published a short fragment of one of the interviews. Besides, he claimed it Epstein she showed him photos of Trump sitting on the laps of topless young women.

Trump and Epstein shared the same girlfriend at one point

In the latest segment of his Fire and Fury podcast, Wolff described how Epstein allegedly became suspicious Trump after years of friendship and rivalry.

“Epstein was completely preoccupied with Trump and I think, honestly, he was afraid of him.” Epstein and Trump reportedly first became friends in the late 1980s, when they bonded over women, money and a shared “playboy” lifestyle in Palm Beach, Florida.

“Epstein really knew him, I think, better than most. “I mean, it was a real BFF situation: two very playboy-style playboys in the Hefnerian sense who had been fading for the better part of 15 years,” Wolff said.

Wolff claimed that Epstein told him about a number of activities, including that the two men “shared” the same woman at one point. He claimed to know the girl’s identity but did not want to reveal it.

Trump campaign releases statement

Trump’s team has vehemently denied the author’s claims, calling him a “disgraced” author who often invents stories to sell fictional novels because he clearly lacks ethics and morals.

“He waited until days before the election to make outlandish false slander, all in an effort to engage in gross election interference on behalf of Kamala Harris. “He’s a failed journalist who resorts to lies to get attention.”
